No rest for the wicked

A marathon will wait for no woman, or, no sick woman that is. Despite being under the weather--literally, we had more than a foot of snow this weekend--I still got in my running. Running when you're not feeling good is no fun, but I talk myself into doing it by knowing that it is boosting my immune system.

Last Thursday, ran 2.4 miles
Rest day on Friday
Snowed in on Saturday
Sunday, made up for Saturday AND did Sunday's run for a total of 4 miles
Monday, went home sick
Home sick today, but got myself to the gym in the evening and ran my 2 miles

Still on track here in Week 2.

It's 9:30 pm, do you know where your feet are?

On the treadmill, of course. Late night start to my two-mile run. But, no excuses. Did two miles in 25 min--got to pick up the pace.

Here's an expanded version of the training schedule that I found online.  I'll be posing this to experienced marathoners to determine if it's the best plan.  Strength and cross training need to be a component of a balanced plan.
